💥 M30 Triple-Base Artillery Propellant

M30 Triple-Base Artillery Propellant grains

Product Introduction

M30 propellant is a triple-base artillery propellant combining nitrocellulose, nitroglycerine, and nitroguanidine. The addition of nitroguanidine as the third energetic component delivers significantly higher energy per unit mass than single-base or double-base propellants, while simultaneously keeping the flame temperature relatively low — providing both extended range and reduced gun-tube erosion.

The M30A1 variant is the standard fill for the M203 Red Bag Propelling Charge (Zone 8S), the maximum-zone charge for 155 mm artillery. M30-family propellants are also used in the BMCS M92 high-zone modules, larger-calibre howitzers, 8-inch artillery systems, and tank main-gun ammunition where high muzzle velocity and long barrel life are both required.
