Product Introduction
The 12.7 × 108 mm is the Soviet/Russian equivalent of the .50 BMG — introduced in 1938 as the DShK machine gun cartridge and still standard heavy machine gun ammunition across former Warsaw Pact and non-NATO nations. Slightly larger case volume than 12.7 × 99 gives marginally higher muzzle energy at similar bullet weights.
