Military drones — the new front line
Since the mid-2010s, military UAVs have transformed from niche ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) tools into a decisive battlefield capability. Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Turkey, Iran, and China have all demonstrated that low-cost UAVs can achieve effects previously reserved for expensive manned aircraft — reconnaissance, precision strike, artillery spotting, and even air-defence suppression.
For any modern armed force, the question is no longer whether to acquire military UAVs, but which types, in what quantities, and from whom.

1. Reconnaissance / ISR quadcopters
- DJI Matrice M4T / M30T — enterprise thermal + zoom camera quadcopters for battlefield surveillance
- Autel EVO Max 4T — western-alternative thermal ISR
- Payload: EO/IR gimbals, laser rangefinders, spotlight, loudspeaker
- Range: 8–20 km, endurance 40–55 min
2. Fixed-wing reconnaissance UAVs
- Long-endurance (4–24 hours) fixed-wing platforms for tactical and operational-level ISR
- Range: 50–300+ km
- Payloads: EO/IR, SAR radar, SIGINT packages
3. FPV attack drones
- 7-inch and 10-inch FPV racing-frame drones adapted for military use
- Payload: 1–3 kg (RPG warhead, mortar bomb, custom charge)
- Range: 5–20 km (analog) or 15–40 km with digital HD video links
- Cost: 200–800 USD per airframe — enabling saturation attacks
4. Fiber-optic tethered FPV drones (unjammable)
- Fiber-optic controlled FPV drones — immune to electronic warfare and RF jamming
- Uses G.657.A2 bend-insensitive fiber optic cable spooled from the drone
- Range: 10–20 km (fiber spool length)
- Battle-proven in Ukraine and Russia
5. UAV engines & propulsion
- 2-stroke and 4-stroke UAV engines: DLE, NGH, Limbach, Rotax
- Electric brushless motors for quadcopter and fixed-wing

Procurement
Contact STEC with UAV type, quantity, payload requirements, training, spares, and destination. EUC required. Lead times: 30–60 days (FPV drones), 90–180 days (fixed-wing / integrated systems).
